World tai chi/qi gong day 2017
We had a successful World Tai Chi/Qi Gong Day in Port Townsend. It was damp and cold, but still approximately 50 people participated. Port Townsend Tai Chi instructor Michael Gilman came with many of his students. He led the group in several exercises and with his students performed several Tai Chi routines including broadsword and straight sword routines. Michael Siegel, a Tai Chi instructor from Sequim, also came and led the group in a Qi Gong routine. My groups from Port Townsend Athletic Club and Blue Mountain Yoga+ performed the Yang 10, Yang 24 and Sun 38 forms. Tai Chi instructor Rebekah Cadorette and I performed a Yang broadsword form and I performed the Chen 26 form. We ended the event with the the Yang 108 long form.
